Your Questions
Our frequently asked questions are answered below - get in touch for more information about your tour of Scotland
Accommodation: where will I stay?
Our adventure tour price does not include accommodation, but we can reserve it for you. We have carefully selected some of Scotland’s best small privately owned hotels, inns and B&B partners that offer comfortable accommodation, great food and friendly service.
Transport: how will I get around?
Your friendly tour guide will of course drive you around your locations. For groups of up to three clients, you will travel in a comfortable Land Rover Discovery Sport. For groups of two to six clients, you’ll enjoy our spacious Volkswagen Caravelle Executive Mini-Bus. Check out our vehicles page for more information.
Weather: what should I expect?
Scotland is well known for its unpredictable weather – even in summer. It can change very fast and in a matter of minutes, especially in mountain areas. We would recommend that you come prepared. A list of recommended clothing and equipment will be provided when the details of your adventure tour have been finalised and your adventure tour booked.
Flexibility: what if plans have to change?
Visiting remote and mountainous areas can carry an element of risk and unforeseen circumstances can arise. Your guide will make dynamic risk assessments throughout your chosen activity and therefore a degree of on-tour flexibility must be accepted. Your detailed itinerary is indicative only and not a guarantee that a particular route will be followed, or place reached.
Payment: how and when?
So – our pricing structure is super easy. We take a 20% commencement fee up front, which allows us to finalise your tour details and complete the design of the tour – then the balance is due 30 days before the tour is scheduled to start. We’ll send over a secure payment page for your custom tour, and you can pay online via credit or debit card payment.
Cost: what does it cost, roughly?
Naturally, completely bespoke tours are very hard to predict in terms of cost because it entirely depends on the details of locations, activities etc. However as a very broad general guide, we do two-day tours for 4 people starting at £350.00 per person. But – we can get you a detailed quote extremely quickly once you’ve enquired, so the best thing to do is enquire.
